In December there was already held the fifth round table in hotel Atom in Třebíč traditionally organized by Energetické Třebíčsko and the District Chamber of Commerce. Potential Czech suppliers for construction of new nuclear units in Dukovany held talks with the French company EDF that is going to enter the tender for construction of new Czech nuclear units.
As Karel Stočes, Director of the Energetics Division said, the aim of our participation was to continue in previous cooperation with EDF, to obtain new contacts and to find further possibilities of cooperation in supplies of safety and non-safety control systems within projects of this French company.
The round table was opened by Vítězslav Jonáš, Chairman of Energetické Třebíčsko. Czech companies as potential suppliers then presented their competences in the field of nuclear technologies EPR and ATMEA, they presented references from operated and newly built nuclear power plants including localization stategies and opportunities for cooperation with EDF in construction of new Czech nuclear units.
In the final part there were held round table talks on cooperation and experience with supplies for French nuclear power industry. EDF representatives in the course of the talks highlighted our company ZAT and mentioned great cooperation in realization of supplies of diagnostic system KCF for twenty nuclear units of French nuclear power plants within project M2C which we realize in annual phases till 2024.
At the end there were discussed further possibilities of cooperation in modernization of operated nuclear power plants in France, construction of a new nuclear power plant Hinkley Point C in England as well as possible cooperation within construction of a new unit in the Czech Republic.
EDF (Électricité de France) is engaged in modernization and distribution of electricity in France as well as in a lot of other countries. Besides Europe they work in South America, Asia and Africa too.
