We have successfully handed over first part of RRCS system for second unit of Armenian nuclear power plant Metsamor

We have gone through a successful first phase of the RRCS system acceptance for the second unit of Armenian Nuclear Power Plant Metsamor. Integration of a part of functions of the RTS (Reactor Trip System) system is a part of the delivery. Specifically it is a reactor emergency protection, which is the first supply with this extended functionality in history of ZAT control system projects for primary circuit of nuclear power plants. This part has also gone through handover tests without client´s reservation.

Besides representatives of the end user there also took part in the handover procedure the representatives of companies RUSATOM SERVICE, ŠKODA JS, Armenian state control authority ЗАО НТЦ ЯРБ, representative of chief reactor designer ОКБ Гидропресс and an expert from ВПО ЗАЭС invited by company RUSATOM SERVICE.

Approved production documentation of entire equipment and agreed results of Factory Acceptance Tests are results of the first phase of the acceptance. Contract for the nuclear power plant in Armenia continues in previous supplies of similar systems for Slovakian nuclear power plants  Jaslovské Bohunice, Mochovce and a Hungarian power plant Paks. All applied types of electronic components are manufactured in ZAT and their technical solution is an integral part of company know-how. These systems of the latest generation for VVER 440 are exclusively based on platform SandRA Z100 intended for realization of the systems related to nuclear power plant safety.

Supply for the power plant in Armenia is realized through company ŠKODA JS and a Russian company RUSATOM SERVICE is the client. The project will be completed at the end of 2019.
