At the end of January in Prague there was held the fifth Congress on Nuclear Industry in Central and Eastern Europe 2019. Prague replaced Budapest where this event was held last year.
International congress was focused on latest projects and opportunities in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe (Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, Poland, Bulgaria, Finland, Romania, Lithuania, Ukraine and Slovenia). The event was attended by 180 specialists, 30 presenting experts from 12 countries and 12 exhibitors with their solutions and products for nuclear power engineering.
In the course of two days there were a lot of papers on opportunities in this particular field from the point of view of modernization of both operated nuclear units and the newly built ones including putting the nuclear units out of operation. The presenting experts mentioned their experience in project realization, strategies from the financial point of view including risk management through advanced nuclear technologies up to disposal of radioactive waste.
„Goal of our participation in this congress was to obtain current information on state and further development of nuclear industry in individual countries of Central and Eastern Europe, to make new contacts and to find further possibilities of cooperation in supplies for control of nuclear technologies. We met e.g. representatives of the investor and future operator of nuclear power plant Hanhikivi 1 in Finland where we are also interested in supply of our control systems,“ says Karel Stočes, Director of Energetics Division.
ZAT is at the moment realizing contracts at nuclear power plants in Armenia, Finland, Hungary, France and Slovakia.
