Former Czech President Václav Klaus visited ZAT company in Příbram – he was interested mainly in control systems for nuclear power plants

Příbram, 17 March 2015

Professor Václav Klaus visited ZAT a.s. company in Příbram today. He was mainly interested in new technologies of the company complying with the most demanding safety standards for nuclear reactor control, which are used in new and refurbished nuclear units in the Czech Republic and abroad.

“I have gladly accepted the invitation to visit the ZAT company in Příbram. I want to see how our economy works – everybody complains about it, everybody feels that we are not successful. For me it is always a tremendous delight to visit a functioning company which looks to be solid, successful and promising. My feelings from ZAT are exceptionally good. The other issue which troubles me is that countries are foolishly phasing out nuclear power in favour of economically unsustainable renewables. If by my presence I can signal a support to anything related to nuclear power, I am always happy to do that,” said former Czech president Václav Klaus during his visit at ZAT.
