Introduction of the MDM method and the device for its application (02/2009)

 During the last years the company ZAT a.s. has gradually enlarged its portfolio by a new branch - health service. In this field it provides supplies, service and professional support of use of the device for application of the mesodiencephalic modulation method (MDM). The method and the device for MDM itself were introduced to the general professional community at the symposium „New Physical Technologies of Diabetical Complications Treatment“, which was held on 24th February in the Hotel ILF in Prague.
The objective of the symposium was to introduce the principle of the neuromodulatory methods to the medical community and present their new application in diabetic peripheral neuropathy treatment. The purpose of the symposium was to present the overview of the current state of diabetic peripheral polyneuropathy diagnostics and treatment. Prof. MUDr. Milan Kvapil, CSc., MBA, the Chief of the of 2nd Faculty of Medicine, Charles University and the President of the Czech Diabetic Association acquainted present participants with these points at issue. During the next part Prof. MUDr. Richard Rokyta, DrSc., the Chief of the Institute of Normal, Pathological and Clinical Physiology of 3rd Faculty of Medicine, Charles University in Prague introduced the general principles of neuromodulatory methods to the listeners. In the last part of the symposium Prof. MUDr. Zdenek Zadak, CSc. demonstrated the results of the study using neuromodulation for diabetic peripheral neuropathy treatment. At the close of the lecture he evaluated the results of clinical tests of the method applied by the device for MDM performed in the FN (teaching hospital) in Hradec Kralove (diagnosis: diabetic neuropathy) in 2006.
There was great interest in the accredited action of the system of lifelong education of the doctors, guaranteed by the Czech Medical Chamber. Almost 80 specialists in diabetology, neurology and internal medicine took part in the symposium and evaluated the action positively, The action was organized in cooperation with the Diabetologic Centre in Motol and with our company as the main partner.
