We have concluded other contracts for service activities at the Temelín and Dukovany nuclear power plants

ZAT is a supplier of control systems to the primary and secondary circuits of nuclear power plants in our country and in the world, and at the same time ZAT is a frequently requested supplier of service activities to ensure the trouble-free operation of their installations.

We have confirmed our competence in the field of servicing nuclear technologies by re-concluding contracts for service activities, including the supply of spare parts for the Temelín NPP and the Dukovany NPP for the next 7 years. Our traditional service activities include the supply and repair of spare parts, occasional service (corrective maintenance), long-term maintenance (preventive service) and guaranteed service (serviceability guarantee).

At the Temelín NPP, we will continue to service the control systems of excitation systems for 1000 MW turbogenerators, diesel generators and other support systems. Within the Dukovany NPP, where all four units are largely controlled by our company's control system, we will continue to service the self-consumption management system and diesel generator excitation systems.

At both locations, our company also provides emergency service and supplies of spare parts for the above installations to ensure reliable and safe operation of nuclear power plants.

We also perform service activities, including the supply of spare parts, at nuclear power plants in Slovakia, Ukraine, Armenia, Hungary and Finland. "Preventive and predictive maintenance is very important from the customer's point of view. It eliminates the risk of lost profit from the production of electricity caused by the failure of some production technologies of the power plant,“ says Ivo Tichý, member of the Board of Directors of ZAT a.s.

ZAT in nuclear energy

ZAT is one of four companies in the EU that develops, manufactures and installs its own control system in the primary circuits of nuclear power plants. ZAT control systems and know-how are implemented in 10 percent of the world's nuclear power plants and 30 percent in the EU.

ZAT wants to continue participating in all nuclear projects, especially in Europe, both in the construction of a new source and the reconstruction of existing ones, and by participating in research projects of small reactors or nuclear waste repositories. "As a Czech company, we are also enormously interested in participating in the completion of the Czech Dukovany Nuclear Power Plant. Our safety control systems, even those not related to the safety of NPP operation, have been tested within nuclear contracts in our country and in the world. We have been supplying in the field of nuclear energy for over 45 years,” adds Ivo Tichý.
