In our corporate sphere the month of October is an industry month. A number of professional conferences are held regularly as part of the International Engineering Fair. Due to the current situation, some events have moved to the internet.
One of them is the Annual ElA blockchain meeting organized by the Electrotechnical Association of the Czech Republic, which took place in online form in October. The meeting was focused on the practical use of blockchain, its possibilities and deployment in Czech companies.
Our colleagues Jaroslav Hrdinka and Ladislav Kopecký from the technical group Custom Software Development presented our software solution on the ElA blockchain platform. "Through a simple mobile application, we demonstrated the ability to authenticate any multimedia records and store hashes (file fingerprints) in this distributed database. Its main advantage is the ability to easily and reliably sign files without the need for certificates. Validation of the authenticity of the document can even be performed without an established access account," specifies Jaroslav Hrdinka. These features are invaluable, for example, in the fight against the increasingly frequent spread of so-called fake news. We have shown the applicability of the technology in practice at the developing cooperation of ZAT with one of the leading media houses in the Czech Republic. During the presentation, our colleagues also presented our several years of experience in the development of native applications for mobile devices and mentioned the benefits of using Xamarin technology for end users.
